Design Automation for Customized Products 2025

In TMKU01, across three student groups, we explored how automation, structured workflows, and CAD integration can transform early-stage engineering tasks.

Highlighted projects covered:

  • Agent-based LLM systems for automated regulation interpretation and legality checks in CATIA
  • Image- and rule-driven pipelines that convert 2D layouts into parametric 3D apartment models
  • Sketch-to-CAD workflows for configurable warehouse layout generation

Despite very different applications, all teams focused on the same core ideas:

  • Breaking complex problems into clear functional agents or modules
  • Translating informal inputs (text, sketches, drawings) into structured data
  • Automating CAD model creation and validation through parametric design

Together, these projects show how modern engineering workflows can benefit from AI, computer vision, and CAD automation when combined with solid system architecture and teamwork.

Proud of the work delivered by all groups!
